When I told her we were going on an egg hunt and to meet the Easter bunny, Sophie told me all about the Easter Bunny
Sophie:
He has a sparkly little cotton tail! A beeeautiful, sparkling, cute little face! And he’s just a little baby! Just a tiny little baby, he’s soo cute. What’s a baby bunny called?
Me:
Umm.. A kit maybe?
Sophie:
Nooo.. a bunnylit!
She waited so patiently in line to get her face painted for the first time and stayed as still as she possibly could. We discussed many options of what she could have painted, but when she saw the sample design of a unicorn it was no longer up for debate.
There was one rule they kept reminding us of – Ten eggs ONLY. Every time she heard this rule she would protest “But I want THREE eggs”. Three is the very best number, you know, she is almost three after all. She ended up with six before ditching the hunt to give high fives and hugs to the Easter bunny.

I’m so glad I checked the kids events calendar a few days before so we didn’t miss out on this one, and Sophie still has two more egg hunts and plenty of Easter-y fun to look forward to next weekend!
